JOB SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) and supervising physician delegate, delivers primary care commensurate with training to patients of North Texas Area CHC, Inc. (NTACHC). Delivers care appropriate for an out-patient, primary care community health center with multicultural, multilingual patient population.

Ensure accurate and up-to-date entry of patient and hospital data.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accurately enter patient records, appointments, and treatment history into the hospital database.
• Verify and update patient information for accuracy.
• Organize and maintain both digital and physical hospital records.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure data completeness.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies and confidentiality regulations.
• Identify and correct data errors promptly.

  2. Sets an example as a medical professional by observing work start and stop times, giving adequate notice for absences, and following clinic’s operational and personnel policies and procedures.
  3. Able to communicate and relate well with providers and clinical staff.
  4. Maintains appropriate licensure and certification including meeting and/or exceeding CME requirements. Observes standards of medical care.
  5. Efficient, organized and accurate.
  6. Perform complex and comprehensive medical care on a variety of patients.
  7. Work with various cultural and ethnic groups in a tactful and efficient manner.
  8. Ability to travel between all clinic locations as needed when directed by supervisor.
  9. Participate in any special projects, community events, and committees as required by NTACHC.
  10. Meet regularly with the supervising physician.
  11. Provide leadership to other clinical staff and healthcare workers.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• At least three to five years’ experience as Nurse Practitioner in Pediatrics.
• Active Texas R.N. license or eligibility to practice professional nursing in the state of Texas
• National certification (e.g. ANCC or AANP) as a Nurse Practitioner
• Current prescriptive authority in the state of Texas (APNP certification)
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) for Healthcare Professionals Certification; ACLS, PALS preferred.
• Must have strong listening, written and oral communication skills, with ability to communicate clearly.
• Must have the ability to understand and respond effectively and with sensitivity to all age spectrums.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Consent to scheduled and random drug screen testing as required by NTACHC.
• Able to navigate NTACHC’s chosen EMR and other computer programs effectively
• Maintain National certification as a Nurse Practitioner
• Complete all CME training required by the Texas Board of Nursing
• Completed all CME training required for the provider to maintain specialty certification once specialty certification is obtained
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Remain eligible for FTCA coverage
• Successfully complete NTACHC’s credentialing process
